Task 3: 6 is false, "most people know isn't good"
Task 4: Very good, you got all of them. Only 2 things: At the end of number 6 it should be "are living in makeshift (improvised) camps" and in number 7 "democratic party candidates"

Task 4: correct but you should say “one person died not “was dead”.
Marta, good. I see your problem is identifying individual words. Practice with gap filling exercises from songs, Speak Up magazine (you can get it in our library) or with audios which include the tapescritp. You didn't do the last task. It would tell you if you understand general ideas not specific as in task 3.

ReplyDelete2.-An australian flight had to make an emergency landing. The plane was a Boeing 4747 that was going to Sydney but it landed safely in Singapur. The pilot says something about a problem in one engine...
3.-President Obama encourages workers and the US Labour party estimates the increasement in employment in 150 jobs and think that there will be even more created jobs in a short period of time.
4.- The NASA has postponed the mission of the space shuttle until the next month because a liquid was discovered outside one's fuel tank.
5.- Heavy rain from hurricane Tomás battered western Haití. Hundreds and thousands of people are now living in tents and camps.
6.-The US TV Network discovered that one of his members had been making contributions to the political campaigns of three democratic candidates (while these is not allowed at least without asking for permission).

I listened all of them twice though I had to stop the the listening between news to take notes.
